France based Leirios has entered the Indian market through a partnership with Bangalore based Qualitree to sell their SmartTesting brand of enterprise test modeling tools in the country. The company is hoping to notch revenues worth five million Euros through this relationship by 2010, which they expect will be roughly half of the global revenues of Leirios.
"Leirios is uniquely positioned in the test design modeling and automation business, and has virtually no competition in the space. India is a huge market for software testing," said Micheal Guez, who heads business development in India for Leirios.
"Our model is that of both integrating, consulting and selling licenses, and are also on the lookout for suitable partners who can take the solutions from Leirios to the right customers and markets," said K Gopinath, CEO of Qualitree." We are a testing specialist and is a natural ally to Leirios," he added. "We are hopeful of taking the relationship further and hopes to make it a joint venture even to other markets," he added.
Indian software industry is fast embracing automated testing processes and tools, is considered to be a hot market by testing tool vendors.
